1) Testimonials

Testimonial posts sell like crazy! As you are likely aware, most people rely on social proof to help them make decisions—they’ll take a recommendation from family or friends over any online selling point. And nearly all consumers read reviews before choosing to use a product/service/business.

Share what former and present clients are saying about you and your business practices. In doing so, you’ll provide potential new clients with the social proof they need to determine that you’re the right person for the job.

2) Memes

No one likes to follow a brand or person on social media if they constantly feel like they’re being “sold to.” So, use humor to break up the monotony and connect with your audience on a more personal level. Everyone likes a laugh now and then!

Use humor and relatable, common memes to connect with your audience and build a following of people who trust you and enjoy engaging with you online.

3) Education

Social media followers don’t want you constantly “beating your chest,” as it were, trying to prove you’re the best. They want you to give them relevant and valuable information about real estate because that is where you are the expert!

In exchange for a follow, be sure to provide value in the content you share. Offer tips for your audience, whether that be market knowledge, buyer tips, seller tips, or simply a closer look at the newest restaurants in town. Give them something they can use without having to call you first!

4) Celebration

Life is too short to leave out celebration, even of the smallest wins. Invite your audience to join you in enjoying the best parts of life—meeting a goal or completing a task!

If you’re invited to speak on a podcast, celebrate! When your client closes on their dream home, celebrate!  Post about your wins and your clients’ wins on a regular basis. This encourages your audience to celebrate with you and to see that you are successful and can help them succeed with their goals/dreams as well.

5) Vulnerability

Just as you need to celebrate the good things, you also need to be vulnerable about the hard things. If you make a mistake and learn something the hard way, let your audience know that! Share stories of losses, mistakes, and even bad days.

This level of vulnerability not only helps you engage with your audience as a real human instead of “the perfect one;” it also allows them to learn lessons through you so that they don’t have to learn them the hard way. You’re offering more value and education AND coming off as more approachable. As hard as it is, vulnerability is a winning strategy!

So, now it’s your turn. Are you posting any of these types of posts? How are they going for you? And if you’re not, what’s stopping you from getting started now? It’s the perfect time to begin creating these top 5 types of social media posts for REALTORS®, thus improving your marketing tactics and client relationships.
