Joining eXp Mexico

The joining process for eXp Mexico is pretty simple. Overall, its model is similar to the United States model, built to provide tons of agent benefits that other brokerages have historically not provided to agents in Mexico.

All of the resources that real estate agents have now in Mexico are unprecedented. When you pair that with the much higher commissions and equity awards, you’re looking at a real force in the real estate industry.

eXp Mexico Fees and Earnings

To get started, there are a few fees that eXp Mexico agents should be aware of.

A joining fee of 1,000 Mexican pesos.
A monthly fee of 1,000 Mexican pesos to pay for the eXp cloud benefits.
A 5% transaction fee (minimum is 500 pesos, maximum is 15,000 pesos).
A 250,000 peso cap based on company pesos earned per agent annually.
A 75/25 commission split (75% to agent, 25% to eXp).
A 100% agent commission when agent caps in the yearly cycle (with 5% transaction fee).

As you can see, the fees at eXp are minimal and what you see is what you get. This is really unlike most brokerages, where it seems you need a math degree to understand what pay you’re taking home at the end of the day.

There are several ways for agents at eXp Mexico to earn income:

Agents get a 75% commission on each property sale (until they cap and earn 100%).
They get to earn extra revenue share by introducing new agents to the network.
They can earn equity shares at a discount.
They can earn ICON status and gain even more with a high position.

We’ll go into more details below.

Revenue Share Explained

At eXp, agents get to earn up to 3.5% of the gross commission of agents they bring into the brokerage. In fact, every time you invite someone to eXp and they join, you’ll be able to earn a percentage of their income. (e.g. If the commission is $100,000 pesos, then you receive $3,500) One important note is that you’ll receive this 3.5% from the 25% eXp earns with each commission. Over all, you can earn up to 35,000 Mexican Pesos from agents you sponsor directly per year!

What’s incredibly powerful about eXp Realty’s model is that all of the agents that you personally sponsor into the company have the same opportunity to sponsor agents themselves. This means that if you sponsor one agent and they go on to sponsor three agents, then not only is the agent you sponsor well off for it but so are you! In other words, if these new agents do well, your sponsored agents will earn revenue share from them–and so will you!

As you can see in the image above, you earn based on how many agents complete their sales requirements and sponsor other agents. With each new agent sponsored in your “chain,” you get the chance to earn even more Pesos each year.

ICON Status Explained

As a valued agent at eXp Mexico, you can become an ICON agent. An ICON agent has even more opportunities to earn and grow.

To qualify as an ICON agent, you must meet your cap of $250,000 Pesos and pay $200,000 Pesos in transaction fees.

You can earn an annual GCI of $4,000,000 Pesos with a minimum of 10 transactions or close a minimum of 30 transactions.

If you complete either of these qualifications, you’ll become an ICON at eXp Realty in Mexico!

Becoming an ICON Agent at eXp Realty Mexico comes with some HUGE benefits.

You could receive up to 250,000 Pesos as the ICON Agent Award and eXp will vest $150,000 of those Pesos for three years.

If you become an ICON instructor in eXp World and participate in ICONversations, ICON Mastermind, and/or ICON Team Talk, you can earn an immediate $25,000 Pesos and $75,000 Pesos with a two year vesting period.

Equity Opportunities

In addition to earning revenue share and ICON benefits, you can also partake in the equity opportunities at eXp Mexico.

You can become a shareholder in EXPI World Holdings a few different ways. First, you’ll earn $2,500 Pesos in shares on your first transaction. Then, you’ll get $5,000 Pesos more when you fully cap and again (another $5,000) when an agent you sponsor closes their first transaction.

You can also choose to participate in the Agent Equity Program. You’ll choose to use 5% of your banked Commission to purchase shares at a 10% discount. This program is entirely optional.
