How to Get More Deals Done as a Single Real Estate Agent

Being a real estate agent is an expensive job. You have to pay for education, brokerage fees, a REALTOR license, marketing strategies, and other business costs. In order to keep up with all those costs and make the profit you’ve been planning for, you’ll need to close plenty of deals. 

To help you out, I’ve created a list of the best tools, tips, and tricks you can use to get more deals done faster. Because whether you know it or not, when you get your real estate license, you’re on the clock! Every day that goes by, you have money going out in the form of expenses…so you have to start making money ASAP.

1. Use Zoom Calls

COVID-19 was a terrible experience for all of us, but going through it did teach us some things. One of the most important tools we have had to learn to use because of COVID is Zoom

Yes, Zoom is a way to connect with agents! It will definitely cut down on travel time to and from homes. With a single 30-minute Zoom call, you can find out if someone is serious about selling their home or not. That call could save you approximately 3 hours of prep time!

2. Delegate Tasks

Your primary role is as an agent. You may think you have to do all the office work as well, but that’s not necessarily true. There are many people out there dedicated to working as virtual assistants, office assistants, writers, etc. You can delegate mundane, repeatable tasks to people trained to do it. 

Your job is to get out there and focus on selling. Hire an assistant to keep up with your emails, confirm appointments, do your filing, and accomplish other tasks you find time-consuming but necessary. 

3. Automate Tasks

Technology is your friend! Use the technological tools to help you schedule and automate tasks ahead of time. For example, you can run ads on Facebook by taking 20 minutes to set them up and then setting them to run for weeks at a time. 

Try using email autoresponders to respond to messages with automatic messages that answer your clients’ questions. 

Set up messenger bots to chat with clients until you or your assistant can get there to help with the details. 

Create social media with automated managers that can publish pre-created content by following a calendar. 

Use Calendly to create appointments by blocking out times you are free and allowing clients or others to choose what time works best for them.

4. Leverage Passive Marketing Strategies

Websites and social media sites are set up so that clients and customers can view your content at times convenient to them. Use this to your advantage!

Record YouTube videos, publish blog posts, record podcasts, and create Pinterest pins. The information you put out on these sites will attract people even when you’re not actively engaged with them. 

Other social sites like Facebook and Instagram are good for instant exposure. Usually, your posts are forgotten within about an hour. But you should absolutely post to keep engaged with customers and to remind them of special upcoming events. 

The important thing to remember about passive marketing strategies is that they improve with time. It may take a while for people to notice you, but once they do, they’ll come to expect and enjoy your content. And they will probably be the ones to reach out to you since you may not know many of those who see and interact with your content.

Passive, social marketing is a great way to engage with the largest number of people without having to attend a big meeting!
