CONTENT – Regardless of how good your videos editing skills are, you will not be able to overcome bad content.  So ensure that you never lose sight of producing high quality substantive content.  Don’t worry about video skills for now (that comes later)…just secure one win today and get started!

CONSISTENT – Pace yourself and void the burnout.  Be consistent and set a schedule of when you will release new videos.  You set the schedule so make it work for you…just keep it consistent. 

 

Upload Video To YouTube Channel

Video Optimization

  • Title
    • Be clear on what viewers gain from watching video
    • Create buzz with phrases like “Do this __”, “Avoid this__”, “Updated”, “Top Tips”, “What you’re not being told”, “2019 __” 
  • Description
    • To Optimize Video
      • Restate title
      • Provide short sentences of what’s in the video (why it’s important and why your video benefits viewer)
    • Thank the audience for watching 
  • Optimize Your Plug
    • Provide ‘Call to Action’ 
    • Share contact information
  • Link External Source
    • Provide links to blogs, articles or relevant resources to your video topic
    • Provide links to high ranking YouTube videos about your video topic
    • Provide links to other videos on your YouTube channel
  • Tags
    • Add as many relevant tags as possible (Maximum 500 Characters)
    • Add VidIQ or TubeBuddy to your browser to do tag research
  • Schedule
    • ‘Premiere’ Option (Use sparingly)
    • Schedule Video or Publish Immediately
  • End Screen
    • Add two video elements
    • Add ‘Subscribe’ element
  • Cards
    • Add up to 5 video cards
  • Place Video in Playlist
    • Create playlists to store relevant videos in (Promotes the binge watching for your channel)
  • Upload Custom Thumbnail
    • Use Canva.com to create
  • Pin a comment (Has to be published before you can comment)

Distributing Video

  • Share with as many people as possible, be proactive.  Don’t wait for the views, go out and get them!
  • Share to;

BONUS:  Content Optimization During Recording

  • Pick 2-3 Keywords to periodically mention in the video itself
  • Encourage Comments “Share in comments if this has happened to you”
  • Ask viewers to “Like, Comment, Share & Subscribe”
  • Ask viewers to “Hit the Notification Bell” 
  • Encourage viewers to stay through the end
  • Include animations throughout video asking viewers to subscribe
