Now that you’ve joined eXp Realty, you’ll have to take some important steps to get started. This handy eXp startup guide will show you every step you need to take to ensure that you’re ready for anything as an eXp Realty agent.
eXp Realty has tons of powerful tools for agents looking to succeed in the real estate sphere. In eXp, you’ll join an agent-centric, fully online, revenue-boosting brokerage designed to help you succeed. Here’s how to get started with eXp Realty.
First Things First
When you sign up to get started with eXp Realty, you’ll get an email with the subject line “Welcome to eXp Realty!” You’ll want to open the email and follow the instructions to set up your Passport account right away. Your passport account is vital–you won’t be able to access much without it.
Once you’re signed up, download eXp World so you have access to your virtual office platform (aka Cloud Brokerage). You can also add an app to your phone so you never miss a thing.
Finally, you need to set up your email alias. You’ll basically be connecting your gmail account with your eXp email to make sure that any email that goes to your gmail will also come to your eXp email. That way, you won’t get lost with too many email addresses.
Controlling Notifications
When you head to eXp Workplace (the online Facebook Business Solution that will keep you connected with eXp agents from around the world), take a minute to configure your settings. Choose how often you want emails and what topics you want covered in emails. Make sure you get important information without being bombarded by too many emails to read.
Also, join eXp Workplace groups that interest you as you get started with eXp Realty–you can join as many as you like! The group you MUST join is your state or country’s private group. There’s so much valuable information that you don’t want to miss in these groups, both required and optional.
Setting Up Skyslope
Skyslope is an essential eXp Realty platform you’ll use for all transaction paperwork completed with eXp. While you’re free to use other platforms as you see fit, you’ll have to submit ALL paperwork through Skyslope to make it official with eXp.
You should receive an email with the subject line: “Welcome to Skyslope.” If you don’t, you’ll want to double-check with eXp’s Onboarding and Agent Support in eXp World. Then, set up Skyslope with your personal information and start using it to track transactions and keep other important paperwork!
Here are a few helpful links if you’re struggling to figure out how to use Skyslope:
Getting Your Business Cards
Upon joining eXp, you’ll receive 1,000 FREE business cards and 25 presentation folders as a welcome gift. Have your broker read over the business card proof before you order to make sure that everything is in line with state guidelines.
If you want to set up a RingCentral number to put on your cards, set it up before ordering your cards. You can find more information on the RingCentral number below.
Once your cards are ready, order them and start handing them out!
Engaging With kvCORE
kvCORE provides all eXp agents with a personal website, lead generation services, and a CRM to keep track of leads. However, you will need to sign up in order to access this service.
First, head over to enterprise.com and choose the “Optional Services” tab on the left-hand menu. Then choose to Sign up for kvCORE, confirm your information and accept the terms. Within 7-10 business days, you’ll get a personal domain name and login information to get started.
Using kvCORE, you can keep track of ALL your client data and keep an eye out for new leads. kvCORE will also set you up with a beautiful website so you don’t have to worry about building one on your own. It’s essential that you get kvCORE up and running so you can start building your database and reaching clients!
Setting Up RingCentral
As a part of joining eXp Realty, you’ll get the option to set up a phone number with RingCentral. RingCentral is an easy way to set up an office phone number to connect with all your devices.
You’ll get an email from RingCentral after you sign up with eXp Realty (check your spam folder) and be provided with an alias number you can use to forward to your personal phone. This will be an 800 number with a personal extension.
Make sure you check with your state brokerage regarding the rules surrounding business numbers on business cards. Some states require them, some don’t. You’ll want to follow all the appropriate guidelines in creating a number to use for your business.
Growing Familiar With the Marketing Center and Branding
eXp Realty provides services so you can create your own brand and logo. All the templates they provide are approved by the company; you’ll just have to run them by your broker to make sure they comply with your brokerage and state requirements.
It’s important that you set up your brand and logo as soon as possible so you can start marketing yourself as an eXp agent. You’ll need these items to start your business off right.
Entering Training Classes
eXp University has TONS of online classes available for agents to learn and expand their skills as they get started with eXp Realty. There are a few CORE Classes you’ll want to take, but after that, you can feel free to explore and learn anything else you want to know!
The CORE Classes all agents should take include:
- Fast Start Series – 101-114
