When you find out, you\u2019ll probably be in one of two camps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u201cNo, that\u2019s stupid and not true!\u201d or <\/li><li>\u201cYep, I hadn’t thought of it, but that is <strong>so <\/strong>true.\u201d<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s find out what you think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Are the Most Powerful Words in Real Estate?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The most powerful words in real estate are simply these four: \u201c<strong>Who do you know\u2026<\/strong>?\u201d This isn\u2019t just important for you to know, it\u2019s important for you to bring to every conversation and every transaction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re a real estate agent and you\u2019re not bringing these four words into your conversations and asking them of every prospect, then you\u2019re leaving a TON of money on the table. Here\u2019s why these words are crucial to your business and how you should be using them every day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why To Ask \u201cWho Do You Know?\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Obviously, the <a href=\"http:\/\/inman.com\/2022\/01\/31\/from-realtors-with-love-89-tips-for-new-real-estate-agents-in-2022\/\">main goal of any good real estate agent<\/a> is to get more prospects, more clients, and more closed deals. But you\u2019re not going to be able to do that alone. As great as you are as an agent, you\u2019ll get nowhere without people in your life helping you build connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you ask a prospect or client \u201cWho do you know\u2026?\u201d you should follow up with something like \u201cwho may want to sell their home within the next 60 to 90 days?\u201d By asking this very simple question, you\u2019re able to leverage the relationships your prospect already has as new relationships for you to help you in your business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that simple question, you\u2019re driving your prospect to think. Now, while you\u2019re only talking to one person, they\u2019re going through their personal Rolodex and thinking of anyone who may be interested in your services. Thus, you\u2019re now tapping into the 10, 20, 50+ other people that your prospect knows may be interested in your services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s right\u2026by asking those four words, you are tapping into 50 potential clients that you could end up working with within the next few months! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Ask \u201cWho Do You Know?\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>So, now that you see why it\u2019s important to ask this question of prospects and clients, how do you actually go about it? You obviously can\u2019t jump into a conversation with that question alone or you\u2019ll come off sounding pushy. How do you ask this question effectively?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few common ways to leverage these four powerful words in your conversations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u201cWho do you know that might be interested in learning about homestead exemptions?\u201d (This is great for catching seller leads.)<\/li><li>\u201cWho do you know who is thinking about buying a home this year?\u201d (This is great for catching buyer leads.)<\/li><li>\u201cWho do you know that I could help?\u201d (This could catch both buyer and seller leads.)<\/li><li>\u201cWho do you know that could use an investment property?\u201d (This is great for catching investor\/buyer leads.)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Ask any of these questions near the end of a conversation with your prospect after you\u2019ve already helped them meet their need. If you do, you\u2019ll effectively be set up as the \u201cexpert\u201d who can help people with whatever problem they\u2019re facing when buying and selling real estate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, next time you have an exchange with a client or prospect, make sure to drop the four most powerful words in real estate. Ask your prospect who they know who could benefit from your help and support.
