Using the right call to action (CTA) on your YouTube channel is the difference between getting real estate clients and wasting your time—the right CTA can make or break you as a video marketer! You need to use the best CTAs for YouTube leads if you want to succeed at video marketing.
What’s incredible though, is that the right CTA is the simplest thing to integrate into your next video. You don’t need another camera, a scriptwriter, or any other tool!
So today, we are covering the CTAs that actually generate real estate leads. Read this through and implement these today to get more real estate leads.
What Is a Call To Action?
A CTA is simply your call to the audience to get them to take the action you want them to take. You can’t expect your audience to know what to do after watching your video. Just because you gave them some free information does not mean that they know what to do with it.
If you want them to call you or email you or download one of your resources, you must tell them that directly. Otherwise, they’ll close your video and likely forget all about you.
Types of CTAs
There are several types of CTAs that will mean something to your real estate YouTube channel. Knowing what the best CTAs for YouTube leads and where to place them is critical.
1. Engagement CTA
This CTA is what you’ll use in your videos to get engagement. Engagement can help you boost your videos, so if you want traffic, you need to engage your audience. Ask them to:
- Share your video with someone who needs to see it
- Subscribe
- Comment
- Like
- Watch the next video
Do this in every video, no matter the topic. Say it out loud but also accompany it with links and buttons in the lower thirds of your screen.
Keep in mind that you don’t want to start your video with a CTA. People won’t listen to you before they’ve heard your message and determined that it’s valuable. Drop your CTA in at the end, in the very middle, or when you drop a “gem” of information you know they’ll love.
2. Contact Me CTA
If you need leads now (and who doesn’t), use this CTA to get them to reach out. Ask them to call, email, or text you—whatever method you prefer. Again, use this CTA in every video, say it out loud, and place it in the lower thirds.
Pro tip: don’t resort to spelling out your email or number on camera, because contact info can change. What if you switch brokerages or get a new phone? You can’t really edit your video after the fact effectively later. So put this information down in the description of each video.
Place this CTA wherever you reference your services. You can do it in the middle or end, or you can even include it near the beginning if you want to introduce your services right after your initial hook.
Now, the next CTAs have to do more with offers. These are offers you might make into lead magnets by offering something valuable in exchange for contact information (e.g. leads). If you go this route, you will have to put some thought into what you will be offering in your CTAs.
The more juicy and irresistible you can make your offer…the more viewers will opt in.
3. Global CTA
This CTA should include an offer that you can hand out to pretty much anyone regardless of the video you record. You may want to offer a list of preferred homes, a homebuyer guide, a home seller guide, or something that can make sense in almost every video.
Reference this CTA in almost every video—anything where a buyer or seller would be watching. Ask your viewers to send you an email, fill out a Google Form, or head to a “squeeze page” so that you can collect their contact info, send them the resource, and then add them to your email lists, drip campaigns, etc.
Again, use this CTA near the middle or end of your video. Make sure if you have a link you want them to follow, it’s located in your description!
4. Video Specific CTA
This CTA will be specific to the video topic you’re discussing. So, if you’re talking about property taxes, offer a property tax template. If you’re discussion homestead exemptions, offer a homestead exemption worksheet. if you’re talking to sellers, offer a seller net sheet; if you’re talking to potential buyers, offer a home affordability calculator. You get the idea.
As with the global CTA, ask them to email you, fill out a Google Form, or go to a squeeze page. These CTAs will only be used in specific videos, and it makes the most sense to add them toward the middle or end of your video.
