This code is crucial for tracking notifications about your onboarding progress throughout the application process. Also, sharing this code with your sponsor at eXp Realty will let your sponsor check on your application on your behalf.

The application involves several key steps:

  • Enter your personal details.
  • Select a sponsor (details on this will follow).
  • Provide your real estate license information.
  • Describe your experience in real estate.
  • Provide financial information, including details about receiving payments, monthly fees, and participation in the agent equity program (which allows you to use 5% of your commission to buy eXp stock at a 10% discount).
  • Sign your Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA) and other relevant documents.

In this stage, your application will be reviewed by the eXp broker team relevant to your country or state. As in the previous step, this doesn’t require any action on your part. The approval process also generally takes about 24-48 hours following your application submission.

Step 4: Undergo a Document Review

This step is primarily handled internally, meaning your role is mostly to wait at this stage. The eXp team will be busy reviewing the documents you submitted to ensure everything is in order and compliant. This process is essential to pave the way for your start at eXp.

Step 5: License Transference

At this point, the responsibility shifts back to you. Typically, within 48 hours of submitting your application, the eXp team will send you an email detailing the necessary steps for transferring your license.

These steps will differ depending on your state, so the email will include a specific overview for your state along with contact details of the managing broker in your area.

Remember, it’s important to inform your current broker about your move to a new brokerage. After completing the license transfer, you become an official eXp agent! The next step is to set up your eXp Realty email alias and address. Once this is done, eXp’s internal teams will assist you in getting started with various eXp services such as Skyslope and kvCORE.

Setting Up Your Profile on the eXp Website

It’s time to dive in! Your first step is to navigate to the Optional Services section in your account and request access to kvCORE.

This outstanding real estate CRM, included in your eXp Realty monthly fees, offers you a host of features including a personal website and email and text auto-response capabilities, among others. It’s crucial to set this up early, as the entire process to gain access can take around 5 days. Getting started immediately will help propel your business forward quickly.

Once you’ve initiated your kvCORE setup, your next stop should be eXp Workplace. This is eXp Realty’s private Facebook Workplace group, an excellent platform for agents to network and share insights.

Additionally, make a point to explore eXp World. This virtual office environment allows you to visit various departments where you can find support for a range of queries, from onboarding and transaction details to technical assistance and more.

  • Start by visiting your social media profiles (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) or, if you don’t use social media, your phone’s contact list.
  • Beginning from the top of your list, send a direct message or text to each contact with the following message:
    • “Hey, I know this is super random, but do you have a REALTOR® that you trust?”
  • If they respond with “No” (and many will), quickly follow up with:
    • “If I can provide you with relevant and accurate information, could I be your go-to REALTOR® for all your real estate questions?”
  • Most of the time (about 95% of the time in our experience), people will agree. If they do, ask for their preferred email and phone number:
    • “Awesome! What’s your preferred email and phone number?”

This approach is straightforward yet highly effective. Based on our data, sending this message to at least 25 people typically yields at least 1 client. Reaching out to 50 people often results in 2 clients, and 100 contacts could bring in about 4 clients, all in a single day!

Once you have their contact information, even if they are not immediately ready to buy or sell, you can add them to your database.
